Banquet "Dresden is(s)t bunt" 2024

The banquet has become a fixed date in Dresden's calendar of events. Cultural institutions and initiatives from the free scene, intercultural associations and community groups, companies, associations and ministries invite people to this great festival of encounters. And thousands come to take part – in the food and drink, the exchange, the good conversations and the unique atmosphere. As last year, the festival will take place on the Augustusbrücke and the Schloßplatz.

We cordially invite you to join us on 9 September 2024 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at this year's festival. Bring a cultural offering and/or your favourite home-cooked dishes. Come and join us at one of the tables. Share with others – food, drink, culture or conversation. Anything that brings joy is welcome.

This year, over 200 organisations, 112 cultural partners and 92 sponsors have registered - a great success that makes us very happy! The programme is colourful and diverse. On the Schloßplatz and Augustusbrücke there will be lots of dancing, music and singing performances as well as a variety of hands-on activities for young and old. Let yourself go, discover new things and be inspired by the diversity of the festival. This engagement makes the banquet unique - thank you very much for your participation.

We eat and drink in community.
There is no 'food to go' or 'coffee to go'.
We meet each other with respect.
The party starts at 4pm and ends at 8pm.

The banquet "Dresden is(s)t bunt" was launched in 2015 as a reaction to the increasing xenophobia in the city. In the 2024 election year, it is more important than ever – with its public impact reaching well beyond Dresden.
